ABOUT TRF
The Translational Research Forum is a nonprofit initiative by Ukwuru Dynamics Limited, committed to closing the gap between academic research and real-world impact in Nigeria and across Africa. We empower researchers to transform their findings into scalable solutions, commercial ventures, and policy tools that address local challenges. Whether you're a scientist, innovator, or investor, we provide the support, training, and networks needed to turn knowledge into impact.
Vision
To build a thriving ecosystem where African research drives innovation, creates sustainable enterprises, and transforms lives.
Mission
To support the translation of academic, scientific, and indigenous research into scalable products, services, and policy tools through capacity building, strategic partnerships, and commercialization pathways.
Founding Story
The Translational Research Forum was born from a simple but pressing observation: despite the wealth of research emerging from Nigeria’s universities and research institutes, very little of it makes its way into everyday life. Our founder, a researcher and educator, recognized that what was missing was not innovation—but infrastructure, mentorship, and market access. This organization was created to help researchers cross the “implementation gap” and build ventures that solve real-world problems, generate economic value, and uplift communities.
Core Values
Innovation – We champion creative thinking and cutting-edge research.
Integrity – We commit to transparency, ethics, and accountability.
Inclusion – We embrace diverse voices, local knowledge, and community-rooted solutions.
Collaboration – We believe impact is accelerated through partnerships across sectors.
Sustainability – We are driven by long-term, people-centered progress.
What Makes Us Different
While many research institutions focus on publication and academic merit, we are focused on impact. We work with researchers after the research is done—helping them design go-to-market strategies, secure intellectual property, attract funding, pilot real-world use cases, and scale their innovations.
We also promote indigenous and community-based knowledge systems, recognizing that local solutions often hold the key to large-scale change.
